The focus of the ABDR is to collect data at population level that covers:
- All patients;
- All breast device procedures;
- All devices;
- All surgeons; and
- All locations across Australia.
To study longitudinally the safety and quality of breast device surgery in Australia by collecting data from patients:
- At time of revision surgery;
- At 1, 2, 5, 10 years.
To collect data that is useful to clinicians, government, industry and academics including data about:
- Device failures;
- Complications;
- Revision rates.
